Are there monthly dividend stocks in Thailand? What to check first

Many people want a dividend every month. Most Thai-listed shares do not pay that often, so it helps to understand the frequency before you expect it.

How often most stocks pay

Ordinary shares of companies listed in Thailand mostly pay one or two dividends a year, depending on the company's financial year and policy. Quarterly or monthly payouts are rare for ordinary shares.

Funds and trusts that pay more often

Some trust structures, such as REITs and infrastructure funds, may pay more often, for example quarterly, and some pay monthly. Check each fund's own payout policy, because frequency alone does not indicate safety.

Do not compare frequency with returns

If yields are the same, a monthly payout does not earn more than a yearly one. The money just arrives more often. Compare the total per year and the risk of each holding instead.

How to see income arriving monthly

Hold several stocks that pay in different months, and cash will arrive almost every month. Use the XD calendar to see which month each stock pays, then balance the portfolio. A monthly income chart for the whole portfolio is part of PanPhonDee Pro.

FAQ

Is a monthly trust safer?

Not necessarily. Check the quality of its assets, its debts and its payout history first.

Will I get cash right after I buy?

Not immediately. You must buy before that payout's XD date and then wait for the payment date the company announces.
